Dr. Stacey Funderburk
Dr. Stacey Funderburk graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. After graduation, she partnered with Dr. Marion Bliler to form Countryside Veterinary Service. Dr. Stacey enjoys the excitement and challenges of mixed animal practice. She resides on the farm in Morrisonville with her husband Keith, daughter Reagan, and son Hayden. When she is not in the office, Stacey enjoys spending time with her family and hosting dinner parties.
Dr. Natalie Kocek
Dr. Natalie Kocek graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2017. Prior to veterinary school, she received her bachelor’s degree in animal science with a minor in chemistry from the University of Illinois. Natalie enjoys working up the variety of cases seen in mixed animal practice and especially enjoys working with cattle, dogs, and cats. Dr. Natalie grew up in Vernon Hills, IL where her family has a produce farm. She also raised 4-H show pigs as a kid. In her spare time, she enjoys kayaking, hiking, trail riding, and spending time with family and friends. Her and her husband also love to spoil their two dogs and two cats. She also has a son named, Reece, that keeps her on her toes.
Dr. Chad O'Connor
Dr. Chad O’Connor graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Prior to veterinary school, he received his bachelor’s degree in animal science with a minor in chemistry from the University of Illinois. Dr. Chad loves the excitement and challenges of veterinary medicine and the day-to-day variety that it presents. His strongest interests lie in small animals, especially dogs and cats. But he also enjoys dabbling in large animal medicine, especially cattle and pigs. Dr. Chad grew up in Herscher, IL where he raised show pigs, feeder cattle, and a variety of other species typical of small family farm. When he is not in the office, he enjoys watching sports and spending time with family, especially his wife Becky, son Declan, and daughter Elliott.
Dr. Elizabeth Johnson
Dr. Elizabeth Johnson graduated from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She received her bachelor’s in animal science from the University of Illinois in 2011. After working at a mixed animal clinic in southern Illinois since graduation, she is moving to be closer to family in Springfield. She enjoys spending time with her two children and dogs.
Dr. Becky Berton
Dr. Becky Berton graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2023. She is originally from Northwest Ohio. She has a wonderful fiancé, Bobby, a coonhound named Duke, and two grey cats, Frank and Hank. She enjoys exotics medicine but also loves cats and dogs. Her interests include enjoying the outdoors and visiting national parks! She also enjoys baking bread and cookies, teaching her dog fun tricks, and making fancy coffee drinks.
Dr. Carina Kilduff
Dr. Carina Kilduff graduated from the University of Illinois College Veterinary Medicine in May of 2023. Prior to school she received her bachelor’s degree in animal science and technology from the University of Rhode Island. Dr. Kilduff is originally from Canton Massachusetts, where she grew up and lived up until the start of veterinary school. She currently has a cat named Logan and a dog named Kitty who live with her here in Illinois, while her family dog Nala still resides in Massachusetts. Dr. Kilduff is passionate about production animal medicine and equine sports medicine. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with her friends and family.
