Taylorville, IL | Mixed Animal
Our story
Established in 2006 by Dr. Stacey Funderburk, Countryside Veterinary Service is a privately owned mixed animal practice. We have committed ourselves to a track of evolution, expansion, and excellence and have invested in cultivating a team of like-minded individuals. Even being awarded âBusiness of the Yearâ and Dr. Stacey âBoss of the Yearâ by our local Chamber of Commerce â we find each individual's strengths and look to expand upon them.
Advanced medicine in a small town
Located in east-central Illinois, we are able to find a balance in the best of both worlds. We have the capabilities to provide top-of-the-line medicine with a plethora of in-house diagnostic tools, orthopedic services, specialized exotics care, etc. We do this while still being in a small town, building long-lasting relationships with our clients and standing as a pillar of our community.
Diverse case opportunities
We pride ourselves on being a âyesâ clinic. This means we have patients varying from draft horses to tree frogs and everything in between. No two days are ever the same, and the opportunity to widen your skillset will be available each time you step into the clinic. With so many in-house resources and your colleagues to count on for help, you get to follow your cases to resolution.
Our culture
A commitment to growth:
Staff meetings and doctorâs meetings include training on interpersonal skills, advancements in medicine, sharing ideas, and setting new goals. We are always working toward something.
Staff and doctors who place high value on learning and mentorship:
We have working relationships built on trust, humility, and respect. This lends itself to the ability to share knowledge, consider others' perspectives, and ask for help. Our team is excited to teach you in every facet of vet med, from the surgery suite to conversing with clients, and we are also excited to learn from you.
Looking to the horizon:
Our constant goal is improvement. We are always looking for fresh ideas to better our practice for our clients, patients, and team. This means you will have your voice heard and always be learning.
