Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Interaction: Greet clients and their pets warmly and professionally upon arrival.
  • Appointment Management: Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
  • Customer Service: Answer phone calls, respond to client inquiries, and provide accurate information regarding services, medications, and pet care.
  • Patient Records: Maintain and update patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with clinic policies.
  • Billing and Payments: Process payments, handle billing inquiries, and ensure accurate financial documentation.
  • Administrative Support: Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks, including data entry and inventory tracking.
  • Pet Care Communication: Share general information with clients about animal anatomy, husbandry, and pet care best practices.
  • Reception Area Maintenance: Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and their pets

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Animal Care Experience: Prior experience as a Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Veterinary Knowledge: Familiarity with veterinary clinic operations, animal anatomy, and husbandry practices is a plus.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and customer service skills to connect effectively with clients and team members.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer systems for scheduling, record-keeping, and data entry.
  • Multitasking Ability: Comfortable handling multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment.
  • Additional Skills: Experience in laboratory settings or kennel environments is a plus.
